Bruce
Lader, founder and director of Bridges Tutoring, Inc.,
has lived in Raleigh since 1990. He holds a Master of
Science Degree in Special Education and is certified
in Special Education and grades K-12. A teacher for
many years, Bruce has worked in the Young Writers Program
at NC State University. He has won awards for his writing
and been published in Poetry magazine and other journals.

| |
| Bruce
tutors in Reading, Writing, Study Skills, Test Preparation,
and English as a Second Language, often using innovative
methods that combine Math problem solving and reading
comprehension. He has found that students make faster
progress when tutoring is creative and nurturing. He is
an expert at showing students better ways for them to
write and to comprehend what they read. "Bridges
Tutoring is not only for students having difficulty in
school," he believes. "It is also for any student
who would like the challenge of learning with the encouragement
of a highly skilled professional." |

THE TUTORS 2 |
| |
| Mark
Anderson, a native of Cary since 1980, is a Cary High
School graduate studying for his Master of Science Degree
in Math Education from NCSU in 2003. Mark is so fond of
Mathematics that he says he "bleeds numbers."
Quick-witted Mark has tutored Math at Enloe High School
and Intermediate Algebra students at NCSU where he worked
in the Academic Support Program for Student Athletes.
He is a son, grandson, nephew, and brother of former and
current educators. "The teaching gene runs in the
family," he says. |
| |
| Mark
tutors for Bridges in all areas of Mathematics, including
PSAT, SAT, and GRE preparation. He is experienced at recognizing
different learning styles and believes in guiding the
student toward the solution to a problem rather than providing
the answer before the student is ready. His patient, questioning
approach builds an effective learning atmosphere and encourages
the self-confidence of his students. |
| |
| For
relaxation and fun, Mark likes to read and write. He has
written in the NCSU student newspaper, and sung in the
varsity Men's Glee Club. He recently married "his
best friend, beautiful Lisa." |
